• “Warranty” refers to this extended warranty service.
• “Covered Item” refers to the product purchased from LJMUK via eBay for which this warranty has been purchased.
• “Proof of Purchase” refers to your eBay order confirmation and any warranty documentation provided.
• “Warranty Period” refers to the duration of coverage as specified in your warranty documentation.

This warranty applies only to:

• Products purchased directly from LJMUK via eBay
• Products for which valid proof of purchase can be provided
• The original purchaser (non-transferable)
• Products used within the United Kingdom
• Products used for personal, non-commercial purposes (unless otherwise agreed)

4. Warranty Coverage Period

The warranty period begins on the date of your eBay purchase and continues for the duration specified in your warranty documentation. The specific coverage period will have been communicated at the time of purchase.

Claims must be reported during the active warranty period, even if the item cannot be returned or assessed until after the period expires.

5. What Is Covered

This warranty covers mechanical and electrical faults that occur during normal use, including:

• Manufacturing defects that become apparent during the warranty period
• Mechanical failures of components under normal operating conditions
• Electrical faults not caused by external factors
• Component malfunctions during proper use

6. Exclusions – What Is Not Covered

This warranty explicitly does not cover:

• Accidental damage, including drops, impacts, crushing, or physical trauma
• Water or liquid damage (unless the product was sold as water-resistant and damage occurred within stated specifications)
• Loss, theft, or mysterious disappearance
• Consumable items including batteries (normal degradation), fuses, bulbs, filters
• Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality (scratches, dents, discolouration)
• Damage from unauthorised repairs, modifications, or tampering
• Damage from misuse, abuse, or negligence
• Damage from use outside manufacturer specifications
• Damage from extreme environmental conditions
• Pre-existing faults that should have been apparent at the time of purchase
• Software issues not related to pre-installed software
• Normal wear and tear

7. Claim Procedure

To make a claim:

1. Contact us via email at warranty@ljmuk.co.uk or through our contact form
2. Provide your eBay order number, warranty reference (if applicable), and full details of the fault
3. Follow any troubleshooting steps we provide
4. Await our assessment decision (typically within 2 working days)
5. If required, return the item following our instructions
6. We will inspect the item and determine the appropriate resolution

Failure to follow the claim procedure may result in denial of the claim.

8. Our Obligations

If your claim is accepted, we will, at our discretion:

• Repair the covered item to restore functionality
• Replace the covered item with an equivalent product (which may be new, refurbished, or remanufactured)
• Refund an appropriate amount based on the original purchase price and the item's condition

The choice of remedy is at our sole discretion, based on the nature of the fault, cost-effectiveness, and product availability.

9. Limitations of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

• Our total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the covered item
• We are not liable for consequential losses, including loss of data, loss of profits, or other indirect damages
• We are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our reasonable control
• This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law

10. Your Responsibilities

You must:

• Retain proof of purchase and warranty documentation
• Use the product in accordance with manufacturer instructions
• Report faults promptly during the warranty period
• Provide accurate information when making a claim
• Not attempt unauthorised repairs before contacting us
• Back up any data before returning a product (we are not responsible for data loss)

11. Warranty Transfer and Assignment

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser named on the eBay order. You may not assign or transfer your rights under this warranty to any third party.

12. Refunds and Cancellation

You may cancel the warranty within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided no claim has been made. Once a claim has been made, the warranty becomes non-refundable.

We reserve the right to deny claims where we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, misrepresentation, or abuse of the warranty terms. This includes but is not limited to:

• Providing false information

These terms, together with any warranty documentation provided at purchase, constitute the entire agreement between you and LJMUK Ltd regarding this warranty service.
